Evolution of Marine Digital Technologies (EMCT), a Russian developer of specialized systems and software for the maritime industry, announces the inclusion of two of its developments in the Unified Register of Russian Software of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
The Pro-Mariner RADAR 5000 navigation radar system and the Pro-Mariner Ice Radar 5000 specialized ice radar indicator have received official status as software developed in Russia.
The products successfully passed all stages of expert evaluation, confirming their full compliance with the requirements for domestic software. The corresponding entries, No. 32144 and No. 32296, dated February 17, 2026, are available at this link.
The Pro-Mariner RADAR 5000 (navigation radar system, NRS) is a modern mapping radar that combines radar imagery with electronic navigational chart data in a single interface. This solution simplifies navigational information comprehension and improves situational awareness. This is especially important when operating in challenging weather and navigation conditions, as it provides the crew with maximum situational awareness.
The Pro-Mariner Ice Radar 5000 (ice indicator radar, or ice radar) is specialized software that takes Arctic navigation safety to a new level. Often referred to as an “ice attachment” or ice surveillance radar, this development utilizes unique signal processing algorithms. The system is capable of clearly highlighting ice floe configurations, ice channel boundaries, ice ridges, and other obstacles on the screen, integrating this vital information with electronic chart display (ECDIS). It’s important to note that, as of January 1, 2026, the presence of an ice radar indicator onboard a number of vessels operating in challenging ice conditions has become mandatory in accordance with the updated requirements of the IMO Polar Code. The Pro-Mariner Ice Radar 5000 product solution can be installed as a standalone module or as part of the Pro-Mariner MFD 5000 Integrated Navigation System.
“The inclusion of the latest EMCT products in the Russian Ministry of Digital Development’s Register of Software is an important step for us, confirming the company’s status as a reliable Russian developer. For us, this is not just a formality, but clear evidence of the technical maturity of our developments. We see this as our contribution to the development of the national digital economy and ensuring Russia’s technological sovereignty in the field of safe navigation,” emphasized Vladimir Ponomarev, EMCT Development Director. For the company’s customers and partners, software registration certificates in the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media registry provide an additional guarantee of reliability and the ability to use EMCT software products in Russian shipbuilding and shipping projects that require certified Russian software.
