The first Project 6135 crab catcher will be delivered to the customer in 2027

The vessel is being built at the Nobel Brothers Shipyard for Vostok LLC under the second stage of investment quotas.
The first Project 6135 crab catcher-live carrier, which is being built at the Nobel Brothers Shipyard (Rybinsk, part of the Kalashnikov concern) for Vostok LLC (Vladivostok) under the second stage of investment quotas, will be delivered to the customer in 2027, the second – in 2028. Such data were announced during a visit to the enterprise by the presidential aide, Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev. The plant’s management demonstrated to Nikolai Patrushev the vessels being built at the shipyard and the material and technical base of the enterprise, the press service of the Maritime Board reports.
“During the conversation held at the plant, it was noted that the Project 6135 crab catchers-live carriers are unique vessels in their engineering and running characteristics, and set of components. However, the main feature of the project is the first domestic crab boat, which is completely designed in Russia,” the statement said.
As a reminder, the Nobel Brothers Shipyard laid down two crab boats of Project 6135 in August and September 2024, respectively. The vessels are designed for year-round fishing in the Far Eastern fishery basin and comply with ice class Iсe 2. They will be equipped with modern equipment for catching crab with conical traps of the “Japanese” type, followed by sorting, weighing and transporting 80-100 tons of products in special insulated tanks with cooled seawater.
According to the General Director of the Nobel Brothers Shipyard LLC, the hulls of the crab boats are currently being formed. “Since its establishment, the Nobel Brothers Shipyard has experience in building vessels for various purposes, including special ones: tankers, dry cargo ships, tugs, fishing vessels, harbor fleet vessels… Today, the shipyard can build up to four crab catchers at a time,” he said.
In addition, Nikolai Patrushev inspected the hull of the icebreaker tug “Narvskaya Zastava”, laid down on July 4, 2024. The hull is currently being formed on order, its completion is planned for the end of April 2025. The tug is being built by order of the Committee for Nature Management, Environmental Protection and Environmental Safety of St. Petersburg under a contract signed in December 2023. The delivery date to the customer is the end of 2026. Nikolay Patrushev was also shown an open horizontal slipway, a transverse single-tier comb slipway and a block of hull shops, in particular, a blank production facility with a metal cutting section capacity of 300-350 tons per month. A separate item was the inspection of the crab catcher Vladimir of the Damen CCa5712LS project, launched in 2023, at the outfitting quay of the shipyard.
