The first Far Eastern longline vessel was built as part of an investment project
The Eastern Shipyard of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) held a ceremony to raise the flag of the Russian Federation and hand over the longline vessel Nugget of Project 03142 to the customer. This was reported in the shipyard’s Telegram channel.
The first Far Eastern longline vessel Nugget was built as part of the investment project “Quotas under the Keel”.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Primorsky Krai Sergey Kalitin, First Deputy General Director of the Amur Shipyard (management company of the Eastern Shipyard) Yuri Lysenkov, Managing Director of the Eastern Shipyard Vitaly Klyuev, employees of the enterprise and guests.
Sergey Kalitin outlined the huge role of the shipyard in solving the problems of updating the fishing fleet of the region. Yuri Lysenkov noted that the share of the Eastern Shipyard in the USC civilian sector in 2025 amounted to more than 16%. Vitaly Klyuev, in turn, recalled that Nugget is the seventh vessel transferred to the customer within the framework of the investment quota program.
