Russian fishermen are fishing for aquatic biological resources ahead of the pace of 2024

Fishing figures are ahead of last year’s by 5.8 thousand tons.
Since the beginning of 2025, the catch of aquatic biological resources by all Russian users has amounted to 58.6 thousand tons, which is 5.8 thousand tons more than in the same period of the previous year. This is reported by the press service of the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo). with reference to data from the Center for Fisheries Monitoring and Communications (CSMS).
It is noted that the catch in the Far Eastern basin amounted to 54.1 thousand tons (+6.3 thousand tons compared to the level of 2024), in the Northern basin — 2.6 thousand tons, in the Western basin — 200 tons, in the Azov-Black Sea basin — 300 tons (+100 tons), in the Volga-Caspian basin — 700 tons (+600 tons).
In the exclusive economic zones of foreign countries, convention areas and the open part of the World Ocean, the Russian fleet produced about 680 tons.
Products from fresh catches are delivered to the domestic market as a matter of priority, the message adds.
