The Marine Congress will be held in the capital of Primorye for the first time

The first “Maritime Congress – Far East” will be held in Vladivostok from May 30 to 31 at the site of the Far Eastern Federal University. The central theme of the dialogue will be Russia’s turn to the East and the strengthening of the role of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region in the state’s foreign economic policy in shipbuilding and shipping.
More than 1.2 thousand representatives of government and business will participate in the event. The business program will include a plenary session “The Far East is the flagship of the Russian maritime industry in a new coordinate system” with the participation of top industry officials, as well as strategic sessions and round tables. In total, there will be more than 30 events with 180 speakers. The format of the “Maritime Congress” will allow not only to share experiences with industry leaders, but also to present the capabilities of enterprises in the Far East to potential investors and partners.
The central theme of the dialogue will be Russia’s turn to the East and the strengthening of the role of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region in the foreign economic policy of the Russian Federation in relation to the shipbuilding and shipping industry. The agenda includes issues of development of transport and industrial cooperation between enterprises of all subjects of Russia with the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, creation of shipbuilding production clusters, design of new generation Russian ships, modernization of Far Eastern shipyards in new conditions, improvement of port infrastructure and many other relevant aspects.
The event will be attended by more than 30 regions of Russia – from Kaliningrad to Sakhalin – as well as delegates from China, India, Vietnam, Korea, Turkey, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus. Unique excursions to the largest enterprises of the region will be organized for the participants of the Maritime Congress, the press service of the government of Primorsky Krai reports.
“The event will become the main industry platform for demonstrating the potential of the shipbuilding industry and the logistics complex of Russia in general and the Far East in particular, as well as for promoting products and services of domestic enterprises in the domestic and foreign markets. We invite all interested parties to a dialogue and search for joint solutions for the effective development of the marine industry in the new coordinate system,” the organizers said.
