The catamaran for almost 1.5 billion rubles for flights between Vladivostok and Bolshoy Kamen will be supplied by the state STLC

The only bidder for the supply of a passenger catamaran for the organization of regular flights between Vladivostok and Bolshoy Kamen was JSC “State Transport Leasing Company”, headed by former Transport Minister Yevgeny Dietrich. The contract for a vessel with a capacity of 200 passengers, worth almost 1.5 billion rubles, was signed on December 29. Delivery is expected in 2025.
JSC “GTLK” is the largest leasing company in Russia with state capital. It leases air, water and rail transport, energy-efficient passenger transport, automotive and special equipment for domestic transport industry enterprises, and also carries out investment activities for the development of transport infrastructure in Russia. This company places orders for the construction of ships at Russian shipyards, including Aframax tankers at Zvezda in Bolshoy Kamen. GTLK is also implementing a program for the development of the Vanino – Kholmsk ferry crossing to connect Sakhalin with the mainland, is building ferries at the Amur Shipyard to replace obsolete ships – there is a loan agreement in the amount of 4.3 billion rubles from the Far East Development Fund JSC to co-finance the construction of ferries.
Under the terms of the contract, the lessor undertakes to acquire ownership of the vessel himself (design and build), according to the terms of reference. Then the catamaran must be transferred to the recipient, that is, the Primorsky Territory. The edge will be calculated under the contract until June 2050 from the date of signing by the parties of the act of acceptance and transfer.
It will be a hydrofoil catamaran designed for 200 passengers with luggage and the ability to carry bulky cargo, developed by the domestic company “Si-Tech”.
Recall that the Primorsky Krai government announced plans to purchase a catamaran for leasing in the spring. However, then the price of the vessel was almost half as much – almost 850 million rubles, most of the funds had to be allocated by the federal budget. It is assumed that the shipyard in Primorsky Krai will act as the general contractor for the construction of the vessel, now proposals from factories are being collected. Probably, the Livadia Repair and Shipbuilding Plant (part of the Dobroflot group) can receive the order, the regional government admits.
The vessel will run between Vladivostok and Bolshoy Kamen – cities connected by road and an almost completed expressway. In turn, the government does not inform about the purchase or construction of new vessels, for example, for Popov Island or Putyatin Island.
