Far Eastern basin branch of FSUE Under an agreement with Zvezda Shipbuilding complex LLC, Rosmorport performed dredging operations in Bolshoy Kamen Bay to complete phase IV of the shipyard’s construction.
The device of the entrance channel intended for installation of a batoport (water-tight gate) of a dry dock was carried out using a dredger consisting of 7 vessels: two dredgers – “Sakhalinets” and “Primorets”, four self-propelled scows and a support tug “Vostok”. The volume of dredging operations amounted to more than 70 thousand cubic meters of seized bottom soil.
As part of the second stage of work, the branch’s dredging fleet dismantled part of the temporary dry dock dam, and also dredged the water area of Bolshoy Kamen Bay on an area of 11 thousand square meters, bringing the bottom marks from -12.5 meters (on the entrance channel to the dry dock) to -16 meters (on the water area of the Bay). The volume of dredging operations amounted to more than 80 thousand cubic meters of seized bottom soil.
The extracted bottom soil with a total volume of more than 150 thousand cubic meters was transported and stored at the sea dump in the Ussuri Bay in accordance with the project documentation and the permit issued by Rosprirodnadzor, the Federal Agency for sea and river transport reports.
