We can consult and service your Iridium equipment. Supply and activation of Iridium terminals for Russian subscribers can be done only after certification of the system by Russian authorities.
The Iridium Satellite System is the only provider of truly global, truly mobile satellite voice and data solutions with complete coverage of the Earth (including oceans, airways and Polar regions). Through a constellation of 66 low-earth orbiting (LEO) satellites operated by Boeing, Iridium delivers essential communications services to and from remote areas where terrestrial communications are not available. The service is ideally suited for industrial applications such as heavy construction, defense/military, emergency services, maritime, mining, forestry, oil and gas and aviation. Eighty-six percent of the world's landmass and all of its oceans are in areas with inadequate landline service. Iridium addresses these situations by providing coverage in all ocean areas, air routes and all landmasses - even the Poles. Using your computer and an Iridium satellite phone, you can connect to the Internet or a corporate network from virtually anywhere in the world, allowing you to browse the web, send and receive email and transfer files. As an Iridium voice subscriber, your phone performs double-duty as a voice communication and messaging device. The Iridium Satellite phone can send and receive up to 160 alphanumeric characters, in a single message. Once you turn your phone on and register with the Iridium satellite network, your new messages will be sent directly to your handset. |
The Beam TrackALERT, alert and monitoring interface, delivers a highly intelligent tracking, monitoring and alert system for various market applications. This interface also supports the Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) and enables anyone to easily and covertly transmit an emergency distress signal to the ship owner and any nominated Authority. The RST030 provide an integrated intelligent voice, data and tracking solution using the RST100 Beam communication terminal. Inbuilt or External GPS The RST030 has a built in GPS engine. This provides the flexibility to use any type of active or passive GPS antenna on the terminal. This model also provides the ability to connect a secondary NMEA GPS input for back up purposes from another source. On all TrackALERT terminals priority can be set over the main and backup GPS inputs. Intelligent Configuration The TrackALERT interface unit allows full configuration through the intelligent processor onboard the terminal. This allows customization of various settings, notification addresses, notification types, test configuration, notification intervals, loop configuration, remote control as well as remote polling when required. Tracking Applications The TrackALERT interface provides an intelligent asset or vehicle-tracking interface for various market applications. The TrackALERT interface enables you to configure individual reporting fields such as long / lat / speed / direction / height as well as the status of alarms or other digital / analog inputs as configured on the terminal. Movement Reporting For tracking applications the intelligent system also allows the unit to be configured so that position reports are only sent when the vehicle asset is moving; this is a great cost saving measure. However at anytime the unit can still be remotely polled for a current position as required. Alert Notification When an alarm is raised this will automatically generate the delivery of an alert notification to the predetermined destination. This delivery destination can be to another Iridium service, another mobile service (Selected Service Providers) or to any email address as specified. Multiple alert notification points can be configured into the terminal for actual alerts and or test alert messages. Alert Priority Whilst Beam gives you the flexibility to use the Remote Satellite Terminal for other Iridium Services, in the event of an emergency, The Beam RST’s Intelligence will always give Priority to alerts and terminate any active Voice or Data calls in order to transmit the SSAS alert notification when used with the Beam RST100. The Beam RST600 uses the latest Iridium 9522B L-Band transceiver is a stand-alone module that provides access anywhere on earth to any of the Iridium data services on offer. The RST600 is supplied with a robust mounting bracket for flexible installation into a wide variety of applications, alternatively the transceiver module can be installed without the bracket for a more compact installation. The terminal is supplied with cable assemblies to support either a standard or compact installation and this makes it very easy to supply power to the terminal as well as accessing the DB9 serial data connection. Iridium Data Access The complete range of Iridium data services are accessible using the 9522B, the terminal also supports SMS and the following Iridium Data Services:
Antenna Connections The RST600 has an Iridium satellite antenna input as well as a GPS antenna throughput. An SMA to TNC converter is included in the kit so that a standard TNC terminated cable can be connected to the satellite antenna connection if required. The GPS feed through connector is provided to allow the Iridium 9522B and a GPS module to share a single antenna. Either a passive or an active GPS module can be connected to the 9522B GPS output. The gain from the 9522B antenna input to the GPS connector is 0dB (+/- 2dB) The GPS output is available at all times when the 9522B is powered, except during the transmit cycle1. This should provide adequate signal for most GPS receivers because the Iridium antenna will already be well sited. If the Iridium antenna is being shared with GPS then it is important to use an antenna with adequate gain at 1575MHz. Applications
